Turntables are used to turn bogies and similar units. They allow the change of rails within small spaces, at any angle and can connect several tracks.
Basically, the turntable is formed by a solid lower frame and an upper frame with a plate, which are connected by a central plug unit.
In addition, the upper frame rests on the outer area by rolling rollers, which guarantees great stability and high carrying capacity when crossing and turning.
The platforms are equipped with a locking device that centers and fixes them at the necessary limit positions by means of a steel pivoting plate. Before turning, the operator releases the locking device manually. In the locking wedge there are two bolts and two nuts assembled, which allows the wedge to fit exactly inside the gap.
