The contract is part of the project to build a new railway depot to carry out the train maintenance of Alstom Coradia LINT and Stadler FLIRT trains that will run through the extension of the “Trillium Line”, also called O-Train Line 2. This is a railway line that seeks to provide light transit service in Ottawa, Canada, and which is operated by OC-Transpo.
The Trillium Line South extension is one of the three major extensions of Ottawa’s light-rail system, which will expand the Trillium line and link it to Otawa’s international Airport, Macdonald-Cartier. The service of this extension is scheduled to start in 2022.
ACYGS is responsible for the Engineering and advisory Services. After analyzing the project requirements and the maintenance plans of the trains to be maintained, we collaborate in the development of the optimal design of the depot, defining the required equipment to carry out the first level maintenance of the trains, selecting suppliers and evaluating offers to ensure compliance with current standards and regulations. We are currently monitoring the factory tests, the supply, and the installation and commissioning. In addition, we have worked with the customer to implement BIM technology to the equipment.
