Shock Absorber Test Bench

Description

This test bench allows to carry out tests on shock absorbers at different angles, thus adapting to all types of shock absorbers, maintaining functionality and safety.

The process is simple: the operator places the damper on the bench and secures it. The operator then closes the safety gates and selects the test mode to be performed according to the purpose of the test and type of damper.

The machine places the damper in the pre-programed start position to carry out the test and, after pressing the “Test Start” button, the test begins, taking into consideration the number of displacements programed, as well as the predefined speed and force parameters.

All cycles and tests carried out are represented on the computer with the “force/displacement” curve, as well as the speed values. These result values can also be printed.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Among other information, the computer screen displays:

  • Force/Displacement curve.
  • The evaluation criterion (limit parameters).
  • The current condition of the damper in relation to the required performance.
  • Whether the damper is valid or not.

Universal Spring Test Bench

Description

The springs need to be inspected regularly to check their load capacity, elasticity, and energy absorption.

These tests are carried out by track and rolling stock maintenance personnel. The test mainly includes the analysis of the impact force on the springs and the resulting correlation with the compression achieved in relation to the height of the helical springs, and, in the case of leaf springs, in relation to the arrows when the force is applied and removed.

The universal spring test bench allows the operator to perform all tests required by applicable regulations and to control force/distance curves.

Portable Brake Test Unit

Description

This mobile test unit can test braking systems automatically via a PC, and it is capable of testing individual wagons or complete trains.

The test unit is automatic, the technician connects the portable test unit to the pneumatic connection of the wagon or locomotive. The process to perform a test is easy:

  • Log in with user/technician identification
  • Choose the test procedure
  • Identifies the unit being tested, by serial number or other information

Then, the software loads the test procedure for the type of wagon/locomotive selected, and the technician chooses, from the available tests, the one to be performed. The measurements obtained by the data acquisition system are recorded and a test report is produced in pdf format. Finally, the test procedure automatically evaluates whether or not the results meet the required performance.

Pantograph Test Bench

Description

This test bench allows technicians to perform specific tests on pantographs automatically, and in accordance with the international standard IEC EN 50206-1.

The test bench is automatic. The technician places the pantograph on the test station and identifies the pantograph and the device (connection, part number within a defined list of devices, serial number, and other specific test data).

The main features of the test bench are:

  • Computer-based test bench, with great functional flexibility and easy remote control for both maintenance and software installation.
  • Test report according to format agreed and approved by the customer.
  • Comprehensive test performed on a single device.
  • Optimized test process to reduce execution time and operator presence.
  • During the test, there are visual and audible signals for the status (stopped, in progress, awaiting operator intervention, running with a fault during the test).

The test report can be saved directly on the test bench or to an external data server.

High Speed Circuit Braker

Description

This test bench can test high speed circuit brakers and confirm whether they are working properly or not.

Tests can be performed automatically or manually. By defining current and time, the operator can choose up to 15 different tests for high speed circuit brakers, depending on the isolator model.

The power resistance of the circuit can be measured for each model, by measuring the voltage through two sensors that can be easily connected by the operator.

The PLC records the status of the auxiliary contacts of each circuit braker before and after closing, and this data is reflected in the final report.

Coupler Test Bench

DESCRIPTION

The Coupler Test Bench consists of two main parts: The fixed part and the mobile part. The fixed part is a steel structure, which is partially mounted on the floor. It is also the structure that contains other parts of the machine such as the circuit box or the hydraulic actuators.

The great advantages of this unit is the wide variety of tests it can perform and the ease of fitting/removing the couplers without the need of disassembling them.

The machine is anchored to the ground providing the necessary stability to carry out the required tests.

Once the couplers are positioned over the adapter plate on the fixed part of the machine, they are connect to the electronic and pneumatic system on the test bench. Then the coupler head moves toward the fixed part and a force, determined by the customer, is applied to attempt to separate the tested coupler head.

In addition, for safety reasons, the test bench has sensors to ensure that no employee or object is present when the bench is in operation.

Compressor Test Bench

Description

The compressor test bench can check the compressor manually or automatically. Its accuracy, repeatability and ease of operation make it essential for any maintenance depot.

The compressors are tested inside a sound-proofed cabinet which is also fitted with lifting and transport means to load and support the compressor during testing.

Air flow, pressures, temperatures and vibrations are just a few examples of the measurements that can be made to the compressor, according to the test procedure provided by the manufacturer.

Wheelset Measuring Bench

Description

This machine is designed to measure the torsion and out of roundness of the railway wheelsets on both the wheels and the brake discs.

The operating principle consists of turning the wheelset by means of rollers in contact with the axle ends. The torsion and out of roundness is measured using a laser meter.

The measuring equipment can be manually adjusted on the X and Y axes and has 3 lasers. Once the arm supporting the machine has been positioned, the following parameters can be measured:

PARAMETERS

This measuring bench has two supports to fit the wheelset (one fixed and one movable to adapt to different axles), a motor to set the wheelset in rotation, the manually operated measuring equipment and a protective window.

Once the measurement is performed, the machine produces a report that can be printed using a printer previously installed.

HVAC Test Bench

Description

The air conditioning test bench is both mechanically and electrically sturdy. All required tests can be performed by providing the required power supplies and conditioning two different air inlets.

The test bench consists of a sound-insulated thermostatic cabin divided into two chambers, where the air temperature is controlled and regulated. Different working conditions can be simulated by independently managing the external heating of the environment and the cabin.

The ability to exchange air between the two test chambers allows the air conditioning to be recirculated and therefore reduce the total energy consumption of the input supply line.
