Project Description

The project is part of the construction of the new line 6 (Orange) of the São Paulo Metro network, which will cover a distance of up to 15 km and link the existing São Joaquim Station to the Brasilândia district. The line will start its operation in 2025 with an expected traffic of 630.000 daily rides a day.

ACYGS, an engineering and consulting firm specialized in equipment of railway maintenance depots, is providing its technical engineering services to ACCIONA Construcción, the main partner of the concessionaire company responsible for the construction and subsequent operation and maintenance of the line.

Phase I (design) of the engineering process at the Pátio Morro Grande workshop was completed by ACYGS during 2021, who carried out a requirement analysis and produced a preliminary design of the layout, considering the needs of the concessionaire. Work is currently underway in Phase II, providing consultancy services for procurement, by drafting technical specifications of workshop equipment and analyzing the offers.

Project Description

ACYGS has been awarded the contract of the technical assistance tender to give support to the rolling stock maintenance service for Ferrocarril Metropolitano de Barcelona by drafting and improving the maintenance working instructions.

Preventive maintenance activities for the Rolling Stock Service are currently carried out through the procedures stated in the working instructions. These instructions are drawn up from the technical documentation of the train manufacturer and its Maintenance Plan and are improved from the experience and performance of the equipment throughout its life. These instructions are intended to be easy to understand and with a strong visual appeal.

The activities to be carried out during the technical assistance include the improvement of existing working instructions, the drafting of new preventive maintenance instructions, and the drafting of corrective maintenance instructions. These tasks will be accomplished both in the office and in the workshops, witnessing the performance of the maintenance to document these operations.

Project Description

In October 2019, MetroLinx and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) officially announced that Mobilinx was the awardee of the Hurontario Light Rail Transit project, bringing one of Ontario’s largest infrastructure projects to the Peel region.

ACYGS will supply 21 packages of equipment for the Ontario Railway Workshop, including rolling stock maintenance equipment, fluid distribution systems, welding equipment, machinery tool, as well as industrial parts washers, storage, and a retractable paint booth.

The 18-kilometer Hurontario Light Rail Transit line will offer a new, eco-friendly, and comfortable method of transportation to a fast-growing region. The new transport system will have 19 stations throughout two city centres, and it will be connected to the major transport facilities, including GO Transit (Milton and Lakeshore West lines), Mississauga Transitway, Brampton Transit, ZUM and MiWay. The Hurontario LRT line will also have its own dedicated lane to ensure a smooth, comfortable, and convenient ride along the busiest street in the region.

Project Description

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya has decided to expand its Rubí Operational Center (COR), which is the central depot for all its rolling stock. The expansion of their facilities will allow the number of elevated maintenance tracks to double, thus increasing the capacity of the depot.

ACYGS has provided FGC with its engineering services during the pre-expansion phase of the depot. During the project, data collection and measurements have been carried out on site to update the plant layout, relocating the depot equipment and optimizing the work-flows of the different maintenance sections. ACYGS has also analyzed the depot maintenance needs to define the new equipment required and to prepare the Technical Specifications of the defined equipment.

After the enlargement of their depot, FGC has once again entrusted ACYGS execute the definitive updating and adaptation of the workshop drawing, in accordance with the construction works carried out. ACYGS’s engineers went to FGC’s facilities in Rubí to make measurements and collect data, to subsequently define the final layout.

Project Description

The contract is part of the project to build a new railway depot to carry out the train maintenance of Alstom Coradia LINT and Stadler FLIRT trains that will run through the extension of the “Trillium Line”, also called O-Train Line 2. This is a railway line that seeks to provide light transit service in Ottawa, Canada, and which is operated by OC-Transpo.

The Trillium Line South extension is one of the three major extensions of Ottawa’s light-rail system, which will expand the Trillium line and link it to Otawa’s international Airport, Macdonald-Cartier. The service of this extension is scheduled to start in 2022.

ACYGS is responsible for the Engineering and advisory Services. After analyzing the project requirements and the maintenance plans of the trains to be maintained, we collaborate in the development of the optimal design of the depot, defining the required equipment to carry out the first level maintenance of the trains, selecting suppliers and evaluating offers to ensure compliance with current standards and regulations. We are currently monitoring the factory tests, the supply, and the installation and commissioning. In addition, we have worked with the customer to implement BIM technology to the equipment.

Project Description

Glasgow Subway, operated by SPT, is being updated with 17 new driverless trains, that will start functioning in 2021.

The scope of ACYGS services includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of equipment for the maintenance depot, as well as the preparation of project documentation, giving support to STADLER and their collaborator, Hitachi Rail STS, for obtaining the approval of the final client. The equipment supplied is suitable for both, the existing rolling stock as well as the new units.

At present, the supply and installation of all the equipment has been completed, we are now in the last phase, the commissioning. All the equipment, including the lifting systems, the battery charging bench, the storage systems for pieces and the washing equipment, will be in service at the end of this year.

Project Description

This contract is part of the project for the construction of the driverless metro in Thessaloniki, capital of the province of Macedonia and the second most important city in Greece in terms of population and economy.

ACYGS is responsible for the supply, installation and commissioning of three packages of machinery equipment for the Pylaia depot, which includes the new operations center for the entire city’s metro network. In 2020, the supply of all project equipment was completed, and it is currently in the installation phase.

The first equipment package consists of five different types of platform ladders, both fixed and mobile. The second, is a complete package of welding equipment. The latest package includes the entire depot tooling, including CNC lathes, machining centre, drills and presses, among others.

Project Description

The ACYGS-led consortium was awarded with the international public tender under the treaties for the supply, installation and commissioning of machinery and specialized maintenance equipment for the workshops and depots of line 3 of the Guadalajara light rail.

Line 3 in Guadalajara (Mexico) was inaugurated in September 2020 and has a length of 21 km and 18 stations. The aim of this line is to connect the cities of Zapopan, Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque. In addition, this line already has workshops and depots with maintenance equipment supplied by ACYGS.

The construction of this new line is described as one of Mexico’s most important projects. The most advanced and sustainable means of control have been implemented and the equipment supplied by ACYGS also followed these premises.

Project Description

Line 2 and the branch of Line 4 of the Lima and Callao Metro will be Peru’s first fully automatic underground mass transport, which will benefit 2.5 million people along 35 kilometers and 10 districts. This mega structure is the result of the work of the Central Government together with a highly experienced concession company in this sector, which has built metro systems and hundreds of stations around the globe.

ACYGS started the installation of the equipment supplied at the maintenance workshop in Santa Anita, in 2019 and it is planned that during 2021 the full installation of the equipment will be completed. The equipment installed will allow the maintenance of the rolling stock supplied by Hitachi Rail.

Furthermore, another of our most important clients, Metro de Madrid, is involved in the project. They will provide their advice and technical assistance for the commissioning, operation, exploitation, and maintenance of the line. This way, Metro de Madrid will provide the new Peruvian line with their experience of more than 100 years in the Madrid Underground.
