Project Description

At ACYGS, we have undertaken a preliminary design project for a warehouse and Level 2 component workshop. Through three comprehensive studies, we aimed to identify the best solution based on the available workshops, taking into account factors such as spatial layout, existing infrastructure, and potential for expansion.

Subsequently, we conducted detailed calculations of components, surfaces, and production capacity for each option. Based on these analyses, we have prepared a complete list of recommended equipment that meets technical requirements and optimizes the performance of the warehouse and component workshop.

Our approach has focused on delivering the most efficient and suitable solution to meet the client’s needs.

Project Description

At ACYGS, we are pleased to share that we have developed a preliminary design for a Level 1 and Level 2 workshop dedicated to the maintenance of auxiliary vehicles. Throughout the project, we explored two different concepts: one focused on a current solution and another envisioning a future solution that expands the range of maintenance tasks to be performed.

The design emphasizes creating a functional and efficient space that meets the maintenance requirements of auxiliary vehicles. We considered aspects such as workshop layout, workflow organization, and optimization of available space.

In addition to the design, we have compiled a comprehensive list of recommended equipment, including specialized tools and machinery necessary for carrying out maintenance tasks effectively and efficiently.

Our goal has been to provide the client with practical and objective solutions that address both current and future needs. We take pride in having contributed a preliminary design that ensures proper maintenance of auxiliary vehicles while optimizing workshop operations.

Project Description

ACYGS has successfully completed a design project for a full axle maintenance workshop. The project involved presenting four design options—two featuring automated equipment and two utilizing manual equipment. The designs were developed in compliance with VPI standards to ensure IS2 maintenance level, with provisions to incorporate IS3 level in the future.

As part of the project, an exhaustive list of required automated and manual equipment was prepared, accompanied by an economic evaluation for each option. The primary objective was to create a functional and efficient workspace tailored to the client’s specific needs, while adhering to the quality standards demanded by the industry.

ACYGS takes pride in delivering objective and practical solutions, focusing on optimizing the processes involved in full axle maintenance.

Project Description

At ACYGS, we have undertaken a specialized project focused on certifying railway machinery for adaptation and commissioning within the General Interest Railway Network (RFIG) across various track gauges, including UIC, Iberian, and metric.

One of the project’s standout achievements was the certification of the Vaia Car RF7 (21-ton) dual-mode backhoe loader. This machine has been type-approved by the AESF to operate on the RFIG with an Iberian gauge. This certification enables its safe and efficient use in railway infrastructure maintenance and construction tasks.

In addition, we secured the SB and SF modules issued by the certification body DEBO-ASBO. These modules are essential to ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in railway machinery operations.

As part of the project, we also worked on expanding the operational range of the Zephir LOK 16.300 shunting locomotive. This enhancement increases its capacity and efficiency for performing specific tasks within the RFIG.

Project Description

The project is part of the construction of the new line 6 (Orange) of the São Paulo Metro network, which will cover a distance of up to 15 km and link the existing São Joaquim Station to the Brasilândia district. The line will start its operation in 2025 with an expected traffic of 630.000 daily rides a day.

ACYGS, an engineering and consulting firm specialized in equipment of railway maintenance depots, is providing its technical engineering services to ACCIONA Construcción, the main partner of the concessionaire company responsible for the construction and subsequent operation and maintenance of the line.

Phase I (design) of the engineering process at the Pátio Morro Grande workshop was completed by ACYGS during 2021, who carried out a requirement analysis and produced a preliminary design of the layout, considering the needs of the concessionaire. Work is currently underway in Phase II, providing consultancy services for procurement, by drafting technical specifications of workshop equipment and analyzing the offers.

Project Description

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya has decided to expand its Rubí Operational Center (COR), which is the central depot for all its rolling stock. The expansion of their facilities will allow the number of elevated maintenance tracks to double, thus increasing the capacity of the depot.

ACYGS has provided FGC with its engineering services during the pre-expansion phase of the depot. During the project, data collection and measurements have been carried out on site to update the plant layout, relocating the depot equipment and optimizing the work-flows of the different maintenance sections. ACYGS has also analyzed the depot maintenance needs to define the new equipment required and to prepare the Technical Specifications of the defined equipment.

After the enlargement of their depot, FGC has once again entrusted ACYGS execute the definitive updating and adaptation of the workshop drawing, in accordance with the construction works carried out. ACYGS’s engineers went to FGC’s facilities in Rubí to make measurements and collect data, to subsequently define the final layout.
