Project Description

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya has decided to expand its Rubí Operational Center (COR), which is the central depot for all its rolling stock. The expansion of their facilities will allow the number of elevated maintenance tracks to double, thus increasing the capacity of the depot.

ACYGS has provided FGC with its engineering services during the pre-expansion phase of the depot. During the project, data collection and measurements have been carried out on site to update the plant layout, relocating the depot equipment and optimizing the work-flows of the different maintenance sections.

After optimizing the arrangement, ACYGS has analyzed the depot maintenance needs in order to define the new equipment required and to prepare the Technical Specifications of the defined equipment.

Project Description

The contract is part of the project to build a new railway depot to carry out the train maintenance of Alstom Coradia LINT and Stadler FLIRT trains that will run through the extension of the “Trillium Line”, also called O-Train Line 2. ACYGS is responsible for the Engineering and advisory Services. After analyzing the project requirements and the maintenance plans of the trains to be maintained, we collaborate in the development of the optimal design of the depot, defining the required equipment to carry out the first level maintenance of the trains, selecting suppliers and evaluating offers to ensure compliance with current standards and regulations. We are currently monitoring the factory tests, the supply, and the installation and commissioning. In addition, we have worked with the customer to implement BIM technology to the equipment.

Project Description

Line 2 and the branch of Line 4 of the Lima and Callao Metro will be Peru’s first fully automatic underground mass transport, which will benefit 2.5 million people along 35 kilometers and 10 districts. This mega structure is the result of the work of the Central Government together with a highly experienced concession company in this sector, which has built metro systems and hundreds of stations around the globe.

ACYGS started the installation of the equipment supplied at the maintenance workshop in Santa Anita, in 2019 and it is planned that during 2021 the full installation of the equipment will be completed. The equipment installed will allow the maintenance of the rolling stock supplied by Hitachi Rail.

Furthermore, another of our most important clients, Metro de Madrid, is involved in the project. They will provide their advice and technical assistance for the commissioning, operation, exploitation, and maintenance of the line. This way, Metro de Madrid will provide the new Peruvian line with their experience of more than 100 years in the Madrid Underground.
