Project Description

Line 2 and the branch of Line 4 of the Lima and Callao Metro will be Peru’s first fully automatic underground mass transport, which will benefit 2.5 million people along 35 kilometers and 10 districts. This mega structure is the result of the work of the Central Government together with a highly experienced concession company in this sector, which has built metro systems and hundreds of stations around the globe.

ACYGS started the installation of the equipment supplied at the maintenance workshop in Santa Anita, in 2019 and it is planned that during 2021 the full installation of the equipment will be completed. The equipment installed will allow the maintenance of the rolling stock supplied by Hitachi Rail.

Furthermore, another of our most important clients, Metro de Madrid, is involved in the project. They will provide their advice and technical assistance for the commissioning, operation, exploitation, and maintenance of the line. This way, Metro de Madrid will provide the new Peruvian line with their experience of more than 100 years in the Madrid Underground.
