Bogie Turntable

Description

The Bogie Turntables are used for turning bogies and similar units. They enable to change bogies of track routes within small spaces and in any angle and can connect multiple rail tracks.

Basically, the turntable consists of a solid lower frame and upper frame with a cover, which are connected by a center pin unit.

The upper frame is supported in the outer area by various travelling rollers bearings, which guarantees higher stability and carrying capacity upon crossing and turning.

There are two types of Bogie Turntables available, with electric motor for automatic turning or manual turning operation.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The turntables are equipped with a locking unit which centers and fixes the turntable in the required limit positions via a tipping sheet steel plate. The locking device needs released manually by the operator, before turning. At the locking wedge two screws and nuts are mounted, which enable a perfect adjustment of the wedge inside the recess.

Lifting Jacks

Description

The lifting systems consist of groups of four lifting jacks, with load capacity ranging from 5 tons per jack for lifting light vehicles, to 40 tons per jack for lifting heavier vehicles such as railway inspection cars or locomotives.

Each group of four jacks is controlled by a separate control box. To achieve a synchronized up/down movement of entire compositions, the different control boxes of the groups of four jacks, can be grouped into a central control box.

Each lifting jack is equipped with a pallet truck system for moving them on the floor of the workshop, and eyebolts for moving them with an overhead crane, to different installation areas.

Dynamic Balancing Machine

description

The universal balancing machines are designed for accurate balancing of a wide spectrum of rotors. They are suitable for balancing cylindrical rotors with integral shaft journals and for balancing disc shaped rotors on balancing arbors.

Permanent calibration, ergonomic design and a logical operating sequence are features that facilitate operation.

Their modular design principle and a wide range of accessories make the machine highly flexible.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

In addition to the above applications, test rotors are used for standardized testing in accordance with ISO 2953 (UMAR = minimum achievable residual unbalance) or SAE ARP4048.

Underfloor Wheel Lathe

DESCRIPTION

Underfloor wheel lathes are state-of-the-art machine tools designed for turning (reprofiling) railway wheels mounted on their axles and with their corresponding grease boxes. This way, the wheels can be turned, without having to be removed from the axles.

We have three main models of underfloor wheel lathes, which have been developed to service different types of trains and railway vehicles according to their maximum weight per axle.

All models are configurable to all track gauges and different tread profiles depending on the customer’s needs.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The automated model allows the operator to turn a complete composition without the need to intervene in the process of train movement and wheel turning decision. These are some of the automated tasks:

  • Automatic motion of the composition
  • Measurement of the wheel profile before using the lathe
  • Turning of the wheel according to the pre-defined template
